About David Burt...David was born in Toronto and has been a professional musician since 1960. He studied under a number of music teachers and was a founding member of the rock & roll group The Ardels. The Ardels played all over Ontario during the early to mid 60's and many times shared the stage with Little Caesar & The Consuls, Richie Knight & The Mid-Knights, Bobby Curtola, The Dovels, to name just a few. In fact, three of the original members are still playing around the Toronto area as Pastime. In the early 70's David studied under Gordon Delamont, a renowned teacher of composition and arranging, whose textbooks are still used in many Colleges and Universities. It was from this five-year period of study that David developed a unique piano course designed for mature students in the playing of contemporary music. He opened his studio in 1975. |
